But since we&#8217;ve got the piece down so well, we ran through in costume a couple times today.<\/p>\n<p>Actually, I was much happier when we were in just our normal everyday ballet gear. The lift where I sit Dawn on my chest was much easier. Dawn&#8217;s performance skirt is so slippery, I don&#8217;t get a good grip to heave her on up, and I don&#8217;t ever feel like she&#8217;s up there in any way stable.<\/p>\n<p>But that&#8217;s show biz, I suppose.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The recital&#8217;s not until June 9.
